Pronterface error message

Post by Chuck767 » Sun Jul 01, 2018 11:44 pm

Has anyone seen this error message when trying to print in Pronterface? Slic3r was used to generated gcode.

windows error:Exception: access violation reading 0x049D98004 (see attachment for more detail)

If so what was the solution?

Thanks,
Chuck

I searched https://github.com/kliment/Printrun/issues for similar but didn't find one. If other files print I would focus on the GCODE. If nothing prints I would get the latest and reload. Maybe also change USB one with a ferrite core to minimize noise? Try printing directly from the SD or even try a different host software.

Thanks Brad,

All Other files print fine.

The strange thing on this one is I tried printing it with the X axis rotated 90° and there was no error message. I did this just as a test.

Because of the shape of the part, printing it rotated 90° Was not feasible, But there was no error message.

I will see if I can find anything unusual in the G code.

Thanks again,
Chuck

Brad,
I looked at the G code did not see anything unusual.

I’ll try doing some more googling

Chuck
