Any tips for my first print on my D300VS?

The D300VS comes preloaded with firmware that by default should produce a good first print as long as the build is square and similar to our reference D300VS. We recommend against changes to the config file except for adjusting the Z offset for first layer smoosh and adhesion in your config file. Look for the line:
G31 X0 Y0 Z-0.35 P500 ; lower # = more smooshed & higher # = less smooshed.

You may need to lower the Z value in 0.05 increments until you get good first layer adhesion.

PLEASE print the "simple_print" pre sliced GCODE files from our Google Drive appropriate for your filament (PLA or ABS). You shouldn't have to calibrate anything at this point.

If you run into trouble include pictures of your prints/printer and what filament type you used.
