Azteeg x5 mini wiring

Post by USFvolunteer » Tue May 22, 2018 10:56 am

I am a volunteer worker at the University of Southern Florida and I am working with a 3D printer that has not been assembled yet.

I have the azteeg x5 mini board and there are 2 issues so far.
A) The "low power" fan that is plugged into the board. Its Located in the bottom left corner, and next to the heatbed thermistors.--- Is that the large fan or the small fan connected to the extruder? ---- AND--- there is only 1 connecter for a fan---SO--- where does the other one go ?

B) I have the Z axis plugged in to the board but there is a 2ed open connecter on the board labeled for Z axis what is plugged in there? --- nothing ?

Please post a picture of the extruder and Azteeg. We have had many version of extruders and Azteeg boards.

The safe bet is to wire the fans to the PSU directly. This way they are always on.

Regarding the Z pins. Many cartesian printers use 2 NEMA steppers in parallels for the Z axis. Delta only use 1 NEMA. It is normal for one set of pins to be unused.
