Thanks Michael, that's a good idea, I will use that approach as I go forward.

"UltiBotsFirstPrint-PLA.gcode" Slicer Settings?

For my first print, I printed the gcode that came with the firmware, UltiBotsFirstPrint-PLA.gcode, and it turned out awesome! I want to replicate that success when slicing other STL's, but not sure which Slic3r settings were used to create the gcode. Is it Printer settings: D300VS - 0.20 Layer; Fila...

Re: Step 17: Install the Extruder Stepper problem

Ding ding ding: we have a winner! I cut a spacer out of thick plastic, but it did not protrude far enough over one of the mounting points.

Just ribbing you about the caliper; good to see analog still in action. :geek:

Re: Step 17: Install the Extruder Stepper problem

I was thinking of grinding more "flat" on the motor shaft. As far as adding spacers between the motor and the extruder; guess how I broke the motor mount?

PS: Your dial indicator micrometer is cool, but it is dirty!

Re: Step 18: Install the Extruder Stepper problem

I know what you mean, I broke off one of the motor mounts trying to figure this out. Then I re-read the previous step and it does say to back off the set screw enough so that you can insert the motor such that the set screw lands on the round part of the shaft, not the flat. Or at least that's how I...

Re: Slic3r Prusa Edition D300VS Bundle...

After reading Michael's post, I am left wondering; where do I find the latest and greatest officially supported Slic3r-PE settings for the D300VS? Not the Facebook group obviously, not on Dozuki, nor the Google drive. Are they still in BETA testing, with stable release to follow at a later date?

D300VS Plastic Parts: How Printed?

Care to share the details on how the stock plastic parts in the D300VS kit are printed? I assume they are ABS, but are you using another D300VS to print them? E3DV6? Volcano? Heated chamber? Layer height, percent infill etc...? Maybe this info is already out there and I just cannot find it. I am jus...

Sorry CastleSeven, just now read your post. Glad you figured it out. I was hesitant to post the steps I took, since I followed a rather circuitous route and did not want to confuse anyone else. :? It sounds like your Duet board already had the latest Ethernet firmware installed (as did mine), since ...
