Re: Best Place to Post UltiBots Related "For Sale / Trade" Items

This must be the place. This topic was created and my original post moved to it. Now I just have to find the time to take some pictures and figure out pricing on the items I would like to sell or trade.

Re: Deviation high after installing TrickLaser arms

Sweet, thanks guys, I learn so much from this forum and members such as yourselves. I just hope I can give back someday in equal proportion to what I have received.

I finished installing the TrickLaser arms, and I'm seeing some rather high deviations from the autocalibration routine.
I really like your ProbeBed.g macro; would you care to share it or point me to a source? I would greatly appreciate it.

Re: Deviation high after installing TrickLaser arms

How are you guys determining the new arm length? I have this mod in mind and was trying to determine this value ahead of time rather than by trial and error with a calibration block.

Best Place to Post UltiBots Related "For Sale / Trade" Items

I am no longer using my UMBEE hardware and would like to see it go to a good home (for a fair price). Given the DIY 3D printer builder's natural tendency to modify and experiment, I would assume that others on the forum have spare hardware sitting around as well that they would like to sell. Can thi...

Re: Don't Use the Scaling Function in Slic3r-PE?

Think I found the culprit. On one of my carriage wheel assemblies, I had an additional 1mm washer between the 6mm spacer and the wheel bearing. Removing it made a significant improvement in print fidelity. Chalk up another "issue" to human error.

[Solved] Don't Use the Scaling Function in Slic3r-PE?

Michael Hackney @ sublimelayers.com and I discussed dimensional accuracy at length. He recently worked with 2 people who had dimension issues. In both cases scaling was involved with the slicer. Make sure you are not scaling the part. This quote is from another topic, but I didn't want to hijack th...

Re: PEI (polyetherimide) Print Bed Preparation and Maintenance?

Thanks Waruta, After some google research, that's what I did as well. Except I used a 1200-1500 grit sanding sponge meant for autobody clear coat finishing. I wet sanded and knocked the shine off of the PEI leaving a semi-matte finish. Wiped down with 90% IPA before printing, and so far so good. I g...

PEI (polyetherimide) Print Bed Preparation and Maintenance?

How should I prepare and maintain the PEI surface for optimal performance? I could have sworn that I read somewhere on the forum that you should sand the PEI surface for best performance. I cannot find that thread with a search, so I thought I would ask on behalf of anyone else who might have the sa...

Re: "UltiBotsFirstPrint-PLA.gcode" Slicer Settings?

Hmmm... the simple print was sliced with Simplify3d rather than Slic3r? With a 0.9 extrusion multiplier and layer height of 0.3mm. Probably optimized to work with Simplify3d's slicing algorithms. None of the Slic3r presets in the D300VS bundle match the sample print. Maybe I am just being thick head...
