Re: Heater fault - recovery?

Found the answer - M562 P1 (where the P# is your heater) then resume the print.

Heater fault - recovery?

Is there any way to reset the heater after a fault and continue with printing?

I've had a fault 4 hours into a print and whilst the print itself is great, I couldn't reset it without performing an emergency stop and redoing the entire print again.

Re: D300vs Plus enclosure

The wheels won't hit but the hot end will hit the sides of plexi/glass/whatever you are using.

By enclosing it you will effectively create a smaller print bed area as the delta arms cannot extend to their fullest.

I just ran a tune and then ran M500 afterwards. It seems like its overpowered but I guess the autotune fixed it?

Fan settings when using a single fan

I've printed out the Half Circular Part Blower by Torben (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2625974) and hooked up a single fan to it. Clipped off and isolated the leads for the second fan. My only issue is now during a print the fan won't come on unless I turn it past 75% speed (on override). Even ...

Support issues in KISS & Slic3r

Weird issues cropping up when trying to make supports: 1) In KISS the hotend makes the first few lines properly then the hotend starts to raise from the bed leading to material not properly adhering to the PEI sheet. Roughly its a 1mm or more deviation even though auto calibrate is fine (5 times). I...

Re: Understanding Probing and Trigger Z Height

Printed a single layer test, average measurement was 0.227, so I subtracted that (0.027)from the original Z-0.138 to get a final height of Z-0.111.

Ran autocalibrate macro x5, got numbers in the range of 0.012-0.015 (see pic)

So the question is - all good? I'm not doing anything wrong?

Re: Understanding Probing and Trigger Z Height

I figured it out. You use G92 to adjust Z0 and then proceed to use extremely small movements to get the rolling paper pinned comfortably. Set that point as Z0 with G92 Z0, raise the head slightly, and finally run G30 S-1 to get the Z trigger height offset. Which in my case is -0.10 as opposed to -....

Re: Changing filaments halfway through a print

Instead of pulling off the idler gear and switching out the filament, I usually use the second method of cutting the filament flush to the top and feeding in new filament through. One issue with both methods is when printing a large object, even with the print head moved out the way, it still is hov...

Re: Artifacts on Z-layers

Just downloaded the new KISSlicer and beta profiles. Everything looked good until u started printing. Layers look a little bit too "smushed" and I kept upping the baby steps (all the way to 0.12) but it didn't help the right hand side of the print. Was trying to print the same spin frame file I atta...
