Re: Titan Aero *UPGRADE*

Is this the same for both the Slimline and "Compact but Powerful" stepper motors? I had to upgrade to the compact stepper to keep the Volcano hot end with 1.0 mm nozzle happy. Still tweaking settings but looking good so far.

Re: M350 & Microstepping with Interpolation

Still deep diving into the MicroPlyer Step Interprolator on the Trinamic stepper driver, but thought I would come up for air and report what I have found so far. Please remember I am not an expert in this area, just curious and thought I would share... Found this on the Duet3D forum, from dc42 Dave ...

Re: [Solved] FSRs too sensitive

Steppers motors are NOISY... I should have thought of this! I had a problem with errratic bed temperature readings until I re-routed some wiring. I wonder if I had the thermistor wiring lying along or on top of a stepper lead? This may warrant a mention in the build guide when describing tidying up...

M350 & Microstepping with Interpolation

Not having any problems, but would like to understand why you chose not to use interpolation for the main XYZ axes. From the recommended config.g file: M350 X64 Y64 Z64 E16 I1 ;Set microstepping to 32 for X, Y and Z and 16 for extruder stepper with interpolation I assume the 32 value in the comment ...

d300_effector_bca_aero.stl STEP file

Can we get a .stp file of the ball cup aero effector placed on the GitHub repository? I would like to make some changes to it to mount my part cooling fan solution.

Re: X-Axis over-spec - Am I being too picky?

One thing that I did that I did not mention earlier; check that your towers are square with the base triangle. I had to shim one of my towers to bring it back to 90 deg. Use a good size carpenters square, and verify that it is square by measuring 20" from 12" on one side and 16" on the other side (3...

These are motorcycle racing parts, so we're talking possible life-and-death if something goes badly wrong.
You Sir are a far braver man than I. Think I will stick to printing less riskier projects, like vases, toys, printer parts... ;)

Re: X-Axis over-spec - Am I being too picky?

I too have struggled with X-Axis Scaling Anxiety, trying to account for a +0.5 mm X-axis error on a 100mm calibration object (0.5% error). Have you tried measuring the magball diameters? I had a set that ranged from 9.4 to 9.6 mm. Luckily I had an extra 12 magballs that I ordered earlier and was abl...
