Re: Prints too large

The Umbee spacing is roughly 43.5mm, and the carriages measure right around 42.5mm. The Umbee ball spacing is pretty consistent with each other, as are the carriages. That's gonna cause an issue...

Re: Prints too large

I'll have to measure when I get home tonight, as I only used calipers to note the difference. I'm not sure why I didn't just write them down at the time.

Re: Prints too large

Thanks for the help guys. I'll use the above info and see what I can come up with.

Alexander, is there an existing carriage out there, or did you modify another .stl?

Prints too large

I posted on Facebook, and am moving the discussion here. https://www.facebook.com/groups/UltiBots/permalink/354066445029562/?comment_id=354107765025430¬if_t=group_comment¬if_id=1504499631891333 I printed a 100mm x 100mm square with PLA, and it measures 102mm x 102mm. For better or worse it's p...

Re: Alloy 910

To answer my own question... I tried about a 8:1 Elmer's glue to water ratio on the glass side of my build plate. So far so good!

Alloy 910

Anyone printing with this on PEI? Are there any tricks for getting it to stick well beyond using a glue stick? I can get some tomorrow if needed, but I figured I'd check to see if there are any other options before I did. My first test prints didn't go well...

Thanks!

Re: Missing layers in print

Another update. I disassembled the hot end last night and managed to get the jam loose. It appeared to be sticking in the heatbreak, although I couldn't see any particular reason why. Once cleared, the filament seemed to move smoothly with no binding or catching. I put everything back together and r...

Re: Missing layers in print

Well, I took another shot at printing the body of the baby Groot model posted above. The first 4mm or so printed beautifully, and I was hoping there would be no issues. I was wrong. I was watching closely, and after a layer change, it stopped extruding. The extruder motor was turning as it should, b...

Re: Slic3r Prusa Edition D300VS Bundle...

While we are asking questions... I see the extrusion multiplier is .9 on the D300VS - PLA Fan On profile, and 1 on the Basic 1.75mm PLA on PEI filament settings. In which scenarios should we use either?

Re: Missing layers in print

I will definitely let you know of any further issues. I didn't think the ABS extruder was to blame first time around, at least I couldn't detect anything obvious. I did push and pull the filament through the ABS version without the nozzle installed, and it seemed to move without binding. It's possib...
