Re: Best Practices for Changing Filaments

I heat up to 190-200, then retract until the filament exits the idler and snip off the end. That way I don't have to retension the idler each time.

Re: S3D bed size estimate d300vs

For some reason, Simplify 3D defines the bed size for a Delta using the size of a square inscribed in the circle of the bed. The correct dimensions for the bed in S3D are 205 x 205 x 440 with the origin at 102.5, 102.5, 0.

Re: M600 Change Filament Support?

The Duet wiki says they have no plans to implement M600 (https://duet3d.com/wiki/G-Codes_not_implemented). A pause can be added manually to the gcode file - determine where you want to make the change and then add M226 to that point of the file, then do your filament change and resume. I use this to...

Re: Duet Monitoring from Rasberry Pi

I just finished testing timelapse features; now, when a print is complete it will generate a timelapse from the snapshots, then delete the source files. Octoprint doesn't have Apache running, which makes offloading the timelapses harder. I currently use dropbox_uploader.sh to put the files in my Dro...

Duet Monitoring from Rasberry Pi

I've been working on CLI logging, timelapses, and control for the Duet. I didn't like that I couldn't log temperatures or other print data and I wanted a timelapse utility as well. I'm also looking to add temperature monitoring (checking if the hot end temp is too far off from target). I've gotten t...

Re: Easy webcam for DuetWifi

I'm working on scripting better logging and webcam support from a RaspPi. It uses the API interface, but seems to interfere with the WebGUI since the WebGUI uses the same API. Right now it can do timelapses, basic control, and logs some print data to CSV. I'm working to expand the data logging porti...

Re: Switching filament out for multicolor - D300VS

The recommended code for mid-print pauses is M226, by the way. I've used that to pause to insert magnets into prints and you can resume seamlessly from the Duet GUI.

Re: G32 calibration points not aligned with FSRs

Can you let us know which delta printer you're working with? The stock bed.g file that Ultibots ships with their printers uses a 12-point calibration and FSRs do not need to be aligned with the towers, as you can see in this example here: http://reprap.org/wiki/FSR I'm not familiar with Smoothie, so...

Re: Extruder Clogged

I had a jam on my V6; not exactly sure how it happened. My fix was to disable the hot end fan, heat up the hot end to 220 or so, and try to feed filament until it unjammed. I would try a short feed and feel if the filament was moving; if not, I waited ~30 seconds and tried again. Once it unjammed I ...

Re: Slicer Setttings - Better Prints...

The stock nozzle for the D300VS is .4 mm; I don't have my pre and post code handy right now.
