Re: Cura anyone?

I recommend the Cura-Duet direct plugin. Get it here (0.08 or later): https://github.com/Kriechi/Cura-DuetRRFPlugin/releases If using Chrome, the Duplicate Tab Helper prevents the plugin from opening duplicate Duet tabs https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/duplicate-tab-helper/oaceoebbkmkgfjhmn...

Re: Cura anyone?

Got something to work ok. See attached PLA profile which works with my Bondtech BMG+E3Dv6. It should work with any direct extruder. It's a start at least. I really like the Ironing feature -- it makes the top of prints look as good or better than the part tuoching the bed. I had to turn Combing mode...

Cura anyone?

Has anyone got a set of settings that work well with Cura? Version 3.2 has some interesting features - Tree based supports, ironing for smooth top surfaces, combing for less stringing and direct print to Duet (via plugin). I'm still dialing in settings, having trouble with first layer filament starv...

Re: Average print speeds

With my BMG+E3dV6 upper mount, I _can_ do ~510mm high prints on the D300VS.

I am really happy with the BMG extruder, btw.

Re: Print cooling fan failure

This *should* be the replacment part. it involves SMD soldering, so find someone who can do it if you cant.

I ordered the part, but haven't replaced my blown FAN0 fet, so I can't 100% guarantee this is the right part. should be...

Re: Tusks not cooling enough

And no luck -more prints ruined due to curling and then layer shifting due to snagging the nozzle, 100% fan. I think I am going to go back to the pelvic dual blowers.

Re: Tusks not cooling enough

Despite multiple attempts and tweaks, I can't get enough cooling with tusks. Do block the hole in the top of the fan, as well as the air exit path through where the leads exit the fan housing. Drilling out the tusks holes to 2mm diam helps. mhackney is working on a triceratops tusk with a central ho...

Re: Aero Titan Issues

YOu can also use stacked washers, or if you have fully threaded bolts, thread a nut all the way to the head to act as a spacer.

Burning bed wires - undersized?

While printing today with bed T of 90C, i smelled and noticed some smoke coming from under the heat bed. It turns out the wires leading to the Kapton heater had started to melt/burn about 1" from the Duet connection. I check the terminal screws and they are tight. I cut off the offending length of w...
