S3D bed size estimate d300vs

Based on the original fff file provided by Ultibots and the actual bed size of the D300vs the build volume should be X axis 280mm, Y axis 280mm and Z 440mm. But using these numbers greatly over estimates the build volume. The pic below shows a 30cm ruler across the original dimensions. I've found th...

Re: Layer change lines (Z binding?)

Thanks for the slicer tips! Unfortunately I didn't see much of an improvement. I might try playing with a differently slicer.

Z Scar - Layer change lines...

I've been able to get things pretty well dialed in but I'm having a hard time with voids in my layer change. I've played with just about every related slicer setting, but the lines remain. After scouring the forums it seems this is extremely hard to dial out. Originally I was using the "randomize st...

temperature excursion exceeded 15.0C and cooling

I had a few large prints fail recently. At first I thought there was a bigger issue, possibly even the duet overheating. However, after finally being in the room when it happened I was able to look back at the gcode console. I got a complete print stop and this error "temperature excursion exceeded ...

Controlling and viewing the duet wifi

Has anyone had any luck tapping into their printer outside of their home network? I saw a few people integrating an IP camera into the interface, but I wanted to take it a step further. In the past I used an open raspberry pi with octoprint, but I'd really like to just use the duet. I thought of a c...

Re: MagBall knocked off - reasons?

Good news, my 25cm rocket printed successfully! This is the most complicated print so far. I think we're good. I never would have guessed that wipe settings were causing me so much headache. Good call.

Re: MagBall knocked off - reasons?

Actually... I'm about 5 hours into that same gcode with the wipe disabled. I can't believe it would be that simple. I'm keeping a close eye on it of course, but it looks very good.

Re: MagBall knocked off - reasons?

Wow, I didn't even know about that tool; I'll have to check that out. The original print lasted about 2 hours and failed after hitting the center piece and knocking loose a mag ball. I took your advice and resliced without wipe, I also put the new gcode on the drive. Running now, I'll give a progres...

Re: Nozzle Priming G-Code?

Hey, I posted my purge macro in the Slicer section http://forum.ultibots.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=151 That creates a purge line towards the bottom of the bed. It should give you a good starting point. I think there's a way to do a small half circle to minimize the area it takes up using the G3 comma...
